Month in Review- October

I’m sure we say this at the end of every month, but, WOW!! Where did that month go?! Residents of the Mallee finally got to see some Spring weather, but with all of the floods, it’s been a little harder to enjoy being outside with the influx of mozzies. But in true Mallee spirit, we have all persisted, getting out to enjoy the Swan Hill Market Day and Youth Arts Festival (missed it? Read about our amazing artists here). A large group of dedicated runners embarked on completing a run at the Melbourne Marathon festival- all for different reasons and all with success; we got to find out their inspiration in Mallee runners set to make a mark on the MCG.

And the reason we were delayed in putting up this post…. the end of October saw us celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Month with our “Girls’ Night Out” and we had some recovering to do!! It was great to see the support from our local businesses and local ladies who got to enjoy a night out with the girls. We also were lucky to share the story of a local Mallee resident who has had her own battle with cancer- read about Cindy’s story here.

There was plenty more that we wrote about in October, so make sure you go back and check it out!

Again, thank you for your continued support! There is plenty happening in the upcoming two months in Swan Hill and we look forward to sharing it all with you.

The team at 3585livestayplay
